In mid-December 2022, ICTSI/International Container Terminal Services Inc's subsidiary CMSA/Contecon Manzanillo started the Port expansion project's 3rd phase. After completion (in 2025), the Port's annual TEU-container capacity will increase from 1,4 million to 2+M TEUs. The expansion created 600+ direct jobs (1800+ total) plus ~11600 indirect jobs.
